Reason #7 as to why I think DMC2 Dante is actually Vergil: his Devil Trigger form.
The blue hue to his skin and the spiked up hair screams Vergil, even when wearing Dante’s signature red. His majin form also looks a lot like Nelo Angelo’s.

I have been drawing poor Nero time traveling for 4 years now. I am so sorry baby. You’ll get home someday.
Pages 11-16 of my Devil May Cry fan comic “Doppelganger”. Read right to left! Part 1 is HERE.
The promised porn!! The first couple of pages were drawn in 2009, the remaining four were drawn this weekend (forgive my shy old self for giving up half way!)
Doppelganger only does what Dante wants him to do…
Pages 1-10 of an old Devil May Cry fan comic I drew back in 2009 (!!) called Doppelganger. It is unashamedly of the PWP blood-porn variety. Read right to left, as I was young and dumb when I drew this. Part 2 is HERE.
It’s set immediately post-DMC3, and is about how Dante deals with his grief and guilt over having killed Vergil. By fighting and fucking it out of his head, of course! (When does he ever do anything different when he’s suffering a bout of angst?)
And who else is left capable of matching Dante but his Doppelganger?

I particularly enjoyed this asshole, even though he experienced very little character development compared to Dante.
The only thing that made me groan and face palm every single time was the fedora. It just…. no. Not with the trench coat, darling. Chose one or the other, but for Sparda’s sake, not both at the same time! >_>
